Marc Thee

Marc Thee, Co-Founder and Design Principal of Marc-Michaels, is regarded as a leading authority on home fashion and interior design. He graduated from Rollins College and began working in the design field in 1983. In 1985 he co-founded Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc. along with Michael Abbott. Design is truly second nature to Marc; his focus is primarily on high-end residential and commercial projects. Marc is happiest when his schedule runneth over! He is solution driven and believes the best tool in any situation is a smile.Marc travels extensively around the world to a variety of project sites where his expertise is in high demand. He enjoys spontaneity and sharing new experiences with others. Marc would trade a great glass of wine for a great dessert any day; but don’t expect to share! Marc Thee is a talented speaker who speaks annually at trade shows, charitable events and on television appearances. After 25 years of designing luxurious homes and boutique hotel projects, Marc Thee has been inspired to create a new collection and is currently seeking opportunities to bring his perspective on design into the marketplace.

Michael Abbott

Michael Abbott is the Co-Founder and CEO of Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc. In 1985 he co-founded Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc. along with Marc Thee. Michael graduated from UCF with his BSBA degree in Accounting. Prior to starting Marc-Michaels, he worked as an accountant at CPA firms, and was the Director of Internal Auditing for a large National carpet holding company.

Michael oversees the financial and accounting aspects of the company and keeps the firm pressing forward. Michael is always looking for new ways to better the business and advance the firm’s notoriety. His favorite part of working in the interior design industry is watching the end product all come together. He fondly remembers the happy look on the faces of Marc-Michaels’ first clients when they walked in the foyer of their newly furnished home.

Mark Tremblay

Mark Tremblay, President of Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc., has contributed to the company through various roles. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, he has more than 20 years of professional experience. In 1994 he joined Marc-Michaels and has overseen multiple projects ranging in depth and scope. He travels frequently for the firm and skillfully works with the design team to deliver the client’s expectations. Mark continuously establishes long lasting relationships with clients and professionals that have turned into some of his dearest friendships.
Mark’s experiences in the interior design industry have provided an insightful perspective on design, management, construction administration and marketing. Notably, he secured the firm national recognition in design-trade publications such as Architectural Digest and Robb Report. Through the implementation of his plans, Mark has promoted the firm on many levels, thus advancing the firm’s notoriety with the public.

Jeff Strasser

Jeff Strasser is the Chief Creative Officer and VP of Interior Design at Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc., where he manages and mentors a highly talented residential interior design team. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and an extensive background in construction. His ability to meet client needs, and leadership qualities have contributed to the overall success of the firm since joining Marc-Michaels in 1992.

His impeccable design taste has made him a trend setter. Jeff has a love of dogs, traveling and gardening. In his travels he is always checking out great design and new trends to incorporate into the firm. Jeff’s work is highly-awarded and has been featured in a variety of publications such as Florida Design, Florida Architecture, Robb Report, Palm Beach Illustrated and American Dream Homes. Jeff’s exceptional design sense, coupled with his ability to stay ahead of design trends, guarantee a superior end result for each client he works with.

Kathryn Dunagan

Kathryn Dunagan, Executive Director of Production, is a graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor degree in Interior Design and a minor in Studio Art. She joined Marc-Michaels in 1997, starting as a design associate. She moved through the ranks to Senior Designer in Interior Detailing and later the Director of Interior Detailing. No matter what her position has been within the firm, her greatest satisfaction is discovered when she is in the midst of creating and collaborating with fellow colleagues and her clients.

Kathryn is passionate to all things design, dedicated to architecture and art, and considers herself first and foremost, a dog lover. Her blend of talent and in-depth knowledge of interior documentation has been essential in both domestic and international business of the firm. Developing the Digital Interior Graphics Department of Marc-Michaels Interior Design in 2007, Kathryn combined her artistic roots with her experiences in the interior design industry to create the signature style of the firm’s presentations.

Kelly Boudreau McInvale

Kelly Boudreau McInvale is the Director of Marketing for Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc. and a University of Florida graduate with a love for home design, flea market finds and a good DIY project. Kelly helps Marc-Michaels expand the award winning company’s online presence and markets both local and international projects. SEO copywriting, keyword optimization research, blog marketing, managing social media, website revisions and publication submittals are just a few of her responsibilities. Kelly plans and implements marketing activities in order to meet company targets for retention growth and profitability.

When Kelly was young, she started her love affair with interior design when she realized she would rather buy new bedding than a new outfit. While many other girls were admiring style icon staples like Jackie O. and Audrey Hepburn, Kelly began admiring the greats in her mind like Dorothy Draper and Albert Hadley. Kelly is a Marketing Maven by day and Lifestyle Blogger by night.

Heather Corino Kalt

Heather Corino Kalt, Executive Assistant/HR Associate, joined the Marc-Michaels team in the summer of 2016. Heather has been a results-driven Administrative Professional with a passion for detail for nearly 10 years. Her professional motto is a quote by Betty Bender, “When people go to work, they shouldn’t have to leave their hearts at home.” So her passion for family and friends has compelled her professional career to be with an organization that has the family values she treasures.

Heather is an Orlando native and resides downtown with her husband and four-legged fur baby. When not with her work family, she enjoys getting involved in community events, tasting new flavors at local restaurants, trying to counter balance her love of food with exercise, partaking in water fun in the sun, and exploring “The City Beautiful.”

Nicole Smith

Nicole Smith, General Counsel, attended Boston University where she received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Political Science and then went on to graduate with honors from Boston University School of Law. Nicole is admitted to the bar in three states: Massachusetts, New York, and Florida. After bar admission and getting her feet wet in the field, she decided to get out of the cold weather and move to Orlando where she has practiced since 2004. Nicole is an experienced corporate attorney and general counsel who provides practical, creative, and business focused legal services and strategic counsel to the Marc-Michaels Interior Design executive team.

When not being the voice of reason at work, Nicole is the voice of reason at home with her son. Being with her son is her happy place and they like to enjoy the Florida lifestyle together. This usually entails various fun in the sun activities with her lil beach bum. She also enjoys her time with her friends exploring new ventures close to home and traveling to see her family.
